Why I Practice Medicine Differently
I’m Narges, a dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner in Family and Cardiovascular Medicine, specializing in functional medicine, insulin resistance, and hormone optimization.

After years in cardiology, I saw the same pattern over and over: fatigue, weight gain, metabolic dysfunction, and hormonal imbalances treated with surface-level solutions, while the root causes were ignored.

My approach is different.

I focus on restoring metabolic balance, improving hormone responsiveness, and identifying the upstream drivers of symptoms, not just replacing hormones or suppressing lab numbers.
Because when you address insulin resistance, inflammation, stress physiology, and nutrient imbalances, the body begins to respond again.

I believe symptoms are signals, and they deserve to be understood, not dismissed.
How I Think About Health

Symptoms are not random. They are signals.

Fatigue, stubborn weight gain, low libido, brain fog, and mood changes are often signs that deeper systems, metabolic balance, hormone signaling, stress physiology, and inflammation, are out of alignment.
I don’t start with replacing hormones.
I start by asking:
• Is insulin resistance impairing signaling?
• Is chronic stress elevating cortisol and blocking hormone responsiveness?
• Is inflammation disrupting receptors?
• Is thyroid function optimal, not just “normal”?

Hormones don’t fail overnight.
They lose responsiveness when the environment around them shifts.

That’s why effective treatment isn’t about higher doses, it’s about restoring communication within the body.

When metabolism stabilizes, inflammation decreases, and stress physiology is regulated, hormones work more efficiently, often with less intervention.
What Working With Me Looks Like
Every plan begins with understanding your physiology, not guessing.

1. Comprehensive Evaluation
We review your symptoms, history, and prior labs in detail. When needed, we use advanced biomarker testing to assess insulin resistance, thyroid function, inflammation, hormone signaling, and metabolic health.

2. Root-Cause Strategy
Rather than layering medications or supplements randomly, we address the systems driving imbalance, blood sugar regulation, stress physiology, gut and liver function, nutrient status, and hormone responsiveness.

3. Personalized Optimization
Hormone therapy, nutrition, and lifestyle interventions are tailored to your biology and adjusted over time based on how your body responds.

4. Ongoing Monitoring
Health is dynamic. We reassess, fine-tune, and optimize so results are sustainable, not temporary.

Who I Work Best With
I work best with men and women who are ready to take an active role in their health.

This may be a good fit if you:

• Feel “off” despite normal labs
• Struggle with stubborn weight, fatigue, or low motivation
• Suspect insulin resistance or metabolic dysfunction
• Are navigating perimenopause, menopause, or low testosterone
• Want deeper answers , not just prescriptions
• Value a structured, physiology-based approach

My care is designed for individuals who want to understand their body, not just silence symptoms.
“I already feel so much better.”
When I first found Narges, I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and had seen multiple doctors without answers. Within just one month of working together, I began noticing real improvements in my energy and focus. She truly listens and genuinely cares.
— Sepid M., Los Angeles, CA
“Finally, someone who understands my labs.”
Narges explained my bloodwork in a way that actually made sense for my body and my symptoms — something I hadn’t experienced before. The GI-MAP testing was eye-opening, and the supplement plan she created made a real difference. Two months later, I feel significantly better and more confident in my health.
— Grace M., Florid
“A personalized approach that actually works.”
After years of unresolved symptoms, I was referred to Narges and was impressed by how personalized her care is. She never relies on a one-size-fits-all approach and carefully monitors even the smallest changes. Even living out of town, her video appointments made the process seamless. I finally feel supported by someone who truly cares.
